(CNN Español) — El cantautor argentino Alberto Cortez falleció este jueves en Madrid a los 79 años, según una fuente con conocimiento directo.

Cortez alcanzó la fama internacional con canciones como “Cuando un amigo se va”, “Castillos en el aire” y cantó con reconocidos artistas como Facundo Cabral. A lo largo de su carrera se presentó en varios países de América Latina como así también en España y en Estados Unidos. En 2007 ganó un premio Latin Grammy a la excelencia musical.
