This weekend was a challenge, even for a group of veterans like us. After rehearsing all week for the Lehman concert. We left at the crack of dawn for la Feria de Palmira in Colombia. We arrived just in time to play the show and went from the show to the airport and flew back. We are all fried!
Este fin de semana fue un reto para el grupo aunque somos veteranos. Esayamos toda la semana para el concierto de el Lehman Center paea salir casi directo al aeropuerto para salir a La Feria De Palmira Colombia.
DE VUELTA AL BARRIO - LEHMAN CENTER BRONX NEW YORK
Playing Lehman Center is always a treat but it's coming home so you can't BS your way through. Everybody shows up, old friends and family, and the old school salseros, who ain't settling for romantic salsa monga. So we have to mix it up. We had a very good house. Lehman center is comfortable and has excellent lighting and sound and air conditioning. We should support Lehman so they can continue to bring great acts to the Bronx.
Tocar en el Lehman Center es siempre un convite, pero esto es volver a casa así usted no puede el meter paquetes. Todos llegan, viejos amigos y familia, y la vieja escuela de salseros, quién no se conforma con la salsa romántica monga. Entonces tenemos que mezclarlo bien. La asitencia fue muy Buena. El centro de Lehman es cómodo y tiene excelente iluminación y sonido y aire acondicionado. Deberíamos apoyar Lehman para que pueda seguir trayendo grandes artistas al Bronx.
FERIA DE AGRICULTURA PALMIRA Más de 40,000 Personas
This was our third week in a row in Colombia. This time it was Palmira, near Cali. We arrived just in time to play the concert. we should have been so burnt out that we'd just struggle through the show but the guys bucked it up and played better than usual! That inspired me to go for it. The people were so affectionate and responsive that before we knew it our time was up and it was time to leave the stage to my buddy Andy Montanez, who I hear tore it up. I am so grateful to the people of Colombia for their support of our music.
Esta sería nuestro tercer fin semana en Colombia. Esta vez fue en Palmira, cerca de Cali. Llegamos justo a tiempo para tocar el concierto. ¡Deberíamos haber sido tan quemados que hubieramos sólo luchado por sobrevivir el espectáculo pero los muchachos se animaron y tocaron mejor que de costumbre! Esto me tambien me inspiró. La gente fue tan afectuosa y sensible que antes de que nos dieramos cuenta, nuestro tiempoterminó y esto era el tiempo para dejar la tarima a mi compinche Andy Montanez, los comentarios sobre su actuación fueron muy buenas como siempre. Estoy siempre agradecido a la gente de Colombia por su apoyo.
