Malliotakis points to sane city policy on mental health
Days after another NYPD officer was targeted and almost killed by a mentally ill man, GOP mayoral candidate Nicole Malliotakis is out with a thoughtful plan for how New York can better deal with people suffering from serious mental illness.


Email Release Raises Questions About De Blasio And Pay-To-Play

Housing Authority lawyers will help evictees battle the city
The city is going to pay lawyers to fight lawyers from its own Housing Authority.

Presumptive GOP mayoral nominee Nicole Malliotakis called the new law “insane.”
“Only in Bill de Blasio’s New York would you find the taxpayer picking up the legal fees on both sides in an eviction case,” she said. [read more]


Rivals attack de Blasio over nasty emails to staffers
Mayor de Blasio’s rivals hit him hard Sunday over condescending emails he sent to staffers criticizing their efforts to assist him.

Republican mayoral candidate Nicole Malliotakis said she was “disappointed” with the tone of the emails, adding “it’s important to treat people respectfully, especially when they’re putting in hours and sacrificing time away from their family to serve.” [read more]
